RCB VS MI WPL In the first match, RCB defeated MI by three wickets, Nadine De Klerk turned the tables.

 The first match of the Women's Premier League 2026 between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore was played at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. In this match, Nadine de Klerk delivered a stellar performance for RCB and led her team to victory.

In the match held at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, RCB secured a 3-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians. RCB was given a target of 155 runs to win, which they achieved on the last ball of the match. South African all-rounder Nadine de Klerk played a crucial role in RCB's victory, scoring the 18 runs needed in the final over.

The last over of the match was bowled by Nat Sciver-Brunt. The first two balls of the over were dot balls. Then Nadine de Klerk hit 6, 4, 6, and 4 runs to win the match for her team. De Klerk remained unbeaten on 63 runs off 44 balls, including seven fours and two sixes. De Klerk also delivered a strong performance with the ball, taking 4 wickets. De Klerk was chosen as the Player of the Match.

Chasing the target, Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a flying start. Captain Smriti Mandhana and Grace Harris put together a 40-run partnership in just 3.5 overs. Shabnim Ismail broke this partnership by dismissing Smriti (18 runs). After Smriti's dismissal, RCB came under pressure. Following Smriti, Harris was dismissed by Nat Sciver-Brunt for a personal score of 25 runs. D. Hemalatha (7 runs), Radha Yadav (6 runs), and Richa Ghosh (1 run) couldn't even reach double figures.

When Richa Ghosh was dismissed, RCB's score was 65/5. After the fall of five wickets, Arundhati Reddy and Nadine de Klerk forged a 52-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Nicola Carey then dismissed Arundhati Reddy (20 runs) and Shreyanka Patil (1 run). From there, all-rounder Nadine de Klerk single-handedly turned the tide.

Mumbai Indians' Innings

Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Mumbai Indians scored 154 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Mumbai Indians did not have a good start. By the time they reached 35 runs, they had lost two big wickets in the form of Amelia Kerr (4 runs) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (4 runs). Kerr was dismissed by Lauren Bell and Sciver-Brunt by Nadine de Klerk. Jemimah Rodrigues, who had settled at the crease, was also bowled by Shreyanka Patil. Rodrigues scored 34 runs off 28 balls, including 5 fours. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur also disappointed and was dismissed by de Klerk for a personal score of 20 runs.

From there, Sajeevan Sajana and Nicola Carey added 82 runs for the fifth wicket, helping Mumbai Indians reach a respectable score. Sajana scored 45 runs off 25 balls with the help of 7 fours and one six. De Klerk scored 40 runs off 29 balls, including four fours. Both players were dismissed by Nadine de Klerk. The South African fast bowler de Klerk took a total of four wickets in this match.
