After the brilliant innings of Sanju Samson and Tilak Verma, India defeated South Africa by 135 runs in the fourth T20 match due to the strong performance of the bowlers led by Arshdeep Singh. India thus won this four-match series 3-1. India won the toss and batted first and scored 283 runs for one wicket in 20 overs. In reply, the entire South African team was all out for 148 runs in 18.2 overs. Arshdeep took three wickets for India, while Varun Chakraborty and Axar Patel got two wickets each. Hardik Pandya, Ramandeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi took one wicket each.
While chasing the target, South Africa's team had a very bad start and lost four wickets in the powerplay itself. For the host team, Tristan Stubbs and David Miller tried to handle the team by playing a balanced innings, but after the dismissal of these two batsmen, the South African team could not make a comeback and fell in front of the huge score. Stubbs scored the highest 43 runs for South Africa, while Miller played an innings of 36 runs. Marco Jansen remained unbeaten after scoring 29 runs with the help of two fours and three sixes in 12 balls.
Earlier, Samson, who could not even open his account in the last two matches, scored a century once again, while Tilak scored a century for the second consecutive match. Tilak scored an unbeaten 120 with the help of nine fours and 10 sixes in 47 balls and Samson scored an unbeaten 109 with the help of six fours and nine sixes in 56 balls. Along with this, Samson and Tilak also made the biggest partnership for India in T20.
