India defeated England by 7 wickets.Varun Chakravarthy took three wickets and Abhishek Sharma scored a half-century.

 The Indian team defeated England by seven wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. In this match, Abhishek Sharma played a stormy innings of 79 runs in 34 balls and played an important role in the team's victory.

India won a great victory

On the basis of the stormy innings of opener Abhishek Sharma, India defeated England by seven wickets in the first T20 match and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. England batted first and scored 132 runs in 20 overs, but Abhishek scored 79 runs in 34 balls with the help of five fours and eight sixes, on the basis of which India won the match by scoring 133 runs for three wickets in 12.5 overs. For England, fast bowler Jofra Archer took two wickets and Adil Rashid took one wicket. Sanju Samson and Abhishek gave a good start to the Indian team chasing a low score and added 41 runs for the first wicket. However, Archer first dismissed Samson (26) and then captain Suryakumar Yadav without opening the account, due to which India's innings faltered. However, Abhishek opened his hands after this and hit a fifty in just 20 balls. Abhishek targeted every bowler of England. With this, Abhishek became the joint third Indian batsman to score the fastest half-century in T20 International. Abhishek's innings was ended by Adil Rashid. Then Tilak Verma and Hardik Pandya completed the formalities of victory. Tilak returned unbeaten after scoring 19 runs off 16 balls and Hardik returned unbeaten after scoring three runs off four balls.

For England, captain Jos Buttler hit a half-century and scored 68 runs with the help of eight fours and two sixes in 44 balls. Only three batsmen of England could reach double figures and apart from Butler, no other batsman could impress. India did not give place to experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami in the playing-11 for this match, but Arshdeep Singh took charge and gave India a good start by giving two blows to the visiting team in the beginning. With this, Arshdeep became the most successful bowler for India in T20 International. For India, Varun took three wickets, while Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel got two wickets each.
